Yamaha's APX line revolves around acoustic guitars that are easy to play and offer a high-quality sound. The APX electro-acoustic guitar has a compact body and a slender neck. It boasts defined bass and mid tones as well as balanced trebles when amplified through the piëzo pickup and System63 SRT preamp with mic modelling.

APX1000: wood types and details

The APX1000 offers a sparkling, balanced sound with a light, creamy accent thanks to the combination of wood types used in its construction. It has a solid spruce top and its sides and back is made of maple with a set-in nato neck. It has a rosewood fretboard and bridge as well as a decorative cutaway and pearloid triangle fretboard inlays.

System63 SRT, A.F.R and tuner

The System63 SRT preamplifier and the piezo pickup not only deliver an accurate sound to your amp but also let you make adjustments. In addition to the 3-band EQ and the volume control, there are three microphone simulations to choose from that consist of the Neuman U67, the KM56, and the Royer R-122. There's also a Focus/Wide control with which you can further customise the acoustic sound and a Blend control which lets you adjust the mix between the pickup and the simulation. The natural acoustic sound can be emphasised using the Resonance potentiometer. There's an Auto Feedback Reduction function too, and even a built-in tuner.
