General
Yamaha offer up a stunning version of the APX, topped with a complex flamed maple top. The intricate grain of the wood shows through the transparent finish and, since each slice of maple is different, every example of this model comes with its very own character. The APX600 is one of Yamaha's most popular electro-acoustic guitars simply because the snug thinline body, cutaway, slim neck, and ergonomic shape provide excellent comfort and playability.
The APX600FM: At Home Or On Stage
The Yamaha APX600FM has great projection, making it loud enough for rehearsals and writing on the sofa, as well as studio sessions and gigs. An integrated SRT Piezo pickup and System65 preamplifier can be plugged into an acoustic amplifier, PA or audio interface and offers a three-band EQ for shaping the amplified sound and a built-in tuner to keep the pitch in check.
