This hand-crafted guitar features an all-solid body and a practically invisible SRT Zero Impact pickup - a passive system that comes with an individual piezo pickup for each string to guarantee fully natural, maximally dynamic sound, whether plugged in on stage or in the studio.

Yamaha LJ16 ARE: Engelmann Spruce

Since wood is the main determining factor when it comes to the foundation sound of a guitar, Yamaha have opted for a solid Engelmann spruce soundboard. This, combined with the rosewood back and sides, the 5-piece neck, 20-fret ebony fretboard and redesigned bracing, results in a tight, clear and deep core sound without losing out on treble-range transparency. As befits a premium model, the Yamaha LJ16 ARE comes complete with a soft case.

Acoustic Resonance Enhancement

A.R.E. (Acoustic Resonance Enhancement) is an original wood reforming technology developed by Yamaha. Through precise control of temperature, humidity and atmospheric pressure, the molecular properties of the wood are manipulated in order to enhance the sound-shaping properties, making guitars that have received the A.R.E. treatment sound richer and more matured from day one.
