D'Angelico's premium Deluxe Series has just been expanded with the SS Baritone: a semi-acoustic baritone guitar with deeply-appreciated thinline looks and a relatively long, 26.75-inch scale length that supports lower six-string tunings such as A-standard and B-standard, doing away with the need for setup-based compromises. You also needn't worry about feedback thanks to the centre-block fitted beneath the soundboard, or about the perils of the road since D'Angelico thoughtfully include a matching DABSSCASE hardshell guitar case.

The Deluxe SS Baritone: Tight P90 Sound

For the build, D'Angelico have opted for a laminated maple body and a solidly set-in, 3-piece neck with a comfy C-carve. The fretboard, meanwhile, has been made of deluxe ebony, features a 16-inch radius and comes lined with twenty-two high-quality Jescar 47/104 Nickel Silver frets. So the airy, mid-rich acoustic foundation sound of the Deluxe SS Baritone can be amplified in full, Seymour Duncan have supplied two custom Great Dane P-90 pickups, while the tuning is kept in check by deluxe hardware, including 509 Super Rotomatic locking tuners made by the world-renowned Grover.
