Epiphone Sheraton-II Pro Vintage Sunburst Semi-Acoustic Guitar
General
While the Epiphone Sheraton is bears a striking resemblance to the legendary ES thinline archtops, blues legend John Lee Hooker himself stated that this semi-acoustic guitar is 'an out-did 335'! While undeniably built for the blues, this model will feel comfortable whatever style you're slinging, and just like the Casino and Riviera, the Sheraton-II Pro is exclusively built at the 'House of Stathopoulo'. Epiphone already comes with a hefty reputation for producing exceptional yet relatively inexpensive instruments and this model is yet another example of their prowess. The subtle if not tasteful finish and gold-plated hardware are just the start of the ultra-refined features this semi-acoustic guitar has to offer.
The Sheraton-II Pro: Probuckers, Coil-Splitting and a NuBone XL String Nut
The Sheraton-II Pro comes armed with two double-coil Probuckers inspired by the legendary PAF pickups that were originally designed by Seth Lover. In fact, these Alnico II humbuckers are essentially made of the same parts that Gibson uses for its pickups. This potent pairing faithfully translates the airy hollow-body foundation sound with sensitive warmth framed by a light punch, and to inject a touch of bright shimmer, simply pop one of the volume controls and activate the coil-split to unleash single-coil-style output. The LockTone bridge and tailpiece provide stability while ensuring quick and smooth string changes, while a full set of Grover Rotomatic machine heads and a Graph Tech NuBone XL string nut firm up the tuning.

This is my first ES335-type guitar. I wasn’t sure how much I’d like it but it’s amazing. Arrived on time and the set up is perfect. Overall build quality is possibly better than my Gibson Les Paul for a fraction of the cost.
Very nice action, the humbuckers sound great (not totally sold on the split coil sound but always useful to have) and it looks stunning. Sounds nice played acoustically too.
Bax customer service were very helpful too in making sure the ship date was correct
