This intelligent function is combined with a tidy pack of vintage preamp emulations that come in the form of hardware-based plugins, so you can treat your recordings to the old-school sound of sixties and seventies rack gear made by big names like Neve, API, Manley and SSL. There are also amp simulations on board, and to support an authentic dynamic response alongside an authentic monitoring and recording experience, the ideal impedance curve is applied where needed.

This hefty bag of goodies includes emulations of a Fairchild 670, a Pultec EQP-1A, Teletronix LA-2A, 1176SE/LN, and a 610-B Tube Preamp and EQ, and that's on top of emulations of Marshall and Ampeg guitar and bass amplifiers. Basically, you're getting a virtual rack of some of the most iconic gear ever to have graced music history, and all of it is driven by Universal Audio's brilliant UAD DSP system and run directly by the Apollo x4, so monitoring, recording, mixing and mastering all happens inside the interface itself.
