General

The M7R.2 is a 15.3cm long LED torch by Led Lenser that has a built-in rechargeable battery. Its lithium-ion battery powers a single Cree LED module that's behind a re-calibrated lens to produce a maximum light output of 400 lumens. At a range of 280 metres, the M7R.2 lasts about four hours on a full battery, which is quite impressive for such a small torch. The light beam of the M7R.2 can be freely adjusted using the Advanced Focus system. However, the M7R.2 also has a speed focus system that allows you to go from a wide to a narrow beam in no time at all by making a simple sliding motion with your finger. It is a great function if you want to quickly illuminate something that has drawn your attention. The Led Lenser M7R.2 is a very practical light for jobs around the house or stage, evening walks or guarding priceless works of art in a museum.

Smart Light Technology

As other Led Lenser torches, the M7R.2 is equipped with Smart Light Technology. On this model, SLT consists of two energy functions, three light programs and eight light functions. You can use the power in two ways: the energy saving function gradually decreases the lumen level to make the light last as long as possible, while the constant current function produces a consistent maximum light output The light programs consist of professional, easy and defence modes, which each offer a range of functions you might need at times. Professional mode offers the most options. Morse allows you to flash morse code, Boost is a burst of light and Power is a bright light for an extended time. Low power dims the light of the M7R.2 so that the battery will last longer and Dim allows you to adjust just how much light you want to have. SOS lets the torch emit three short, three long and three short bursts of light. Last but not least, the Defence Strobe function changes your Led Lenser M7R.2 into a strobe light - a function the U.S. army uses to disorient their enemies.

Charging

The lithium-ion battery offers four hours of continuous light, or even longer if you make clever use of the Led Lenser M7R.2's functions. When it’s time to recharge you can do so via the included USB cable, just like you would charge your smartphone. Simply place the M7R.2 in the included special charging holder - which you can simply put on your desk or mount to a wall - and connect the charge cable when the torch is clicked into the holder. A backlit ring on the end of the M7R.2 will tell you how far it's charged. Usually, a lithium-ion battery need three hours for a full charge.
