General

The Sennheiser E 914 is a small-diaphragm condenser microphone with an open and sparkling sound. The microphone is fit for (overhead) recording and live amplification of instruments like pianos, acoustic guitars, cymbals, and percussion. You can evenly beautifully capture an entire choir or orchestra with it. The sensitivity of the microphone can easily be adjusted via a small switch with three settings. The low-cut filter is also adjustable via a three-setting-switch, with which you can counter rumbling and wind noise in your recordings or live productions.

The advanced technology behind the E 900 Backline series has resulted in Sennheiser being rewarded for their troubles, with the TEC Award for 'Outstanding Technical Achievement' in the category 'Microphone Technology/Sound Reinforcement'.
