Mesh-heads are a great option if your neighbours aren't massive fans of the tight, thumping sound of your drum kit rattling through their walls or ceiling. But unless you're planning to make the jump to an entirely electronic kit, installing mesh-heads involves the laborious job of removing all your batter heads just to replace them. This not only takes a while but messes with all that careful tuning you've done, and will only mean you have to stick them back on whenever you've got a gig. To save you from all that time-wasting grief, Fazley offer up this full pack of Fazley MeshMute screw-on mesh heads.

The Fazley MeshMutes

Each of the mesh-heads included in the Fazley MeshMute pack comes mounted on a frame fitted with three clamps with a tightening screw. Simply mount the frame on the tension hoop of your tom, floor tom, or snare, and tighten up the screws using a drum key. The mesh head now 'floats' just above the batter head, can be tuned up as normal, and even removed entirely from the frame and replaced, since each frame is fitted with lugs. Each clamp has also been finished with plastic caps, protecting your tension hoop from any possible damage.

What's in the Pack?

This pack kits you out with a 10", 12", 14", and 16" frame-mounted mesh-head. Even your kick drum has been given some thought, since Fazley have also thrown in an extra pad that can be mounted in the centre of your bass drum via a clamping system that can be adjusted to fit any size, and that's compatible with any standard bass drum tension hoop. A set of four dampening pads is also included for the cymbals.

• Please note: The three screws fitted to each frame should not be overtightened. As soon as the black cap touches the tension hoop, do not tighten the screw any further. Tightening the screws further may apply too much tension across the plastic edge and cause it to tear. These frames are designed for universal use, meaning that they can be installed on almost any kind of tension hoop.
