The double bass is arguably one of the most overlooked yet most creative stringed instruments out there. Whether it's deep diving plucked bass-lines, or soul-shivering bowed improvisations, it can be a surprisingly moving instrument. To boost its on stage presence, Shadow serve up the complete SH 965-NFX Nanoflex system. This simple system is made up of two sets of incredibly responsive sensors per side, that are laid over one another, and combine to register the full depth and warmth of the bass, while the preamp provides tone and volume controls and each component can be mounted without the need for any modification.

Op zich een goed geluid, alle snaren evenredig versterkt. Maar punt is dat de behuizing nogal cheap oogt. Én blijkt... de jackingang is na iets meer dan een jaar spelen niet ok, en kraakt om de zoveel minuten. Dus helaas niet live mee te spelen. Jammer, maar geen aanrader dus, tenzij je contrabas altijd rustig in een hoekje van de kamer staat
