These Fender CuNiFe Stratocaster pickups come equipped with chrome rings that not only add a touch of style but help to keep unwanted hum to a minimum, so while they're not real noiseless pickups, they're certainly not as noisy as your average single-coil. What's also interesting to note is that the original CuNiFe pickups were taken out of production when Fender quit building the Telecaster Custom in 1979.
