The Pigtronix BEP Bass Envelope Phaser pedal is based on their popular EP-1 Envelope Phaser. The original pedal was revolutionary and quickly became very popular with bass players who regarded it as one of the most expressive and funky pedals of all time. Now, this new model has been given a compact design and tuned especially for the low frequencies produced by bass guitars. Essentially, the Bass Envelope Phaser is a cross between an envelope filter and a phaser, which gives it a unique sound. Because the phaser is driven by the dynamics in your playing, highly expressive and experimental sounds can be achieved with this effects pedal.

The Pigtronix BEP Bass Envelope Phaser makes use of a staccato envelope circuit that automatically closes the envelope between notes for unparalleled articulation with high speed finger techniques and slap bass styles. With plenty of headroom to spare, the Pigtronix BEP also works really well with active pickups and preamps. Making adjustments to the pedal is extremely easy using its simple controls. As you'd expect, the Sensitivity knob gives you control over the sensitivity of the overall effect, while the resonance of the phaser is controlled using the Resonance knob. The direction of the Phaser's sweep is determined by the Up/Down switch. The BEP is powered by the included 18V adapter.
