The 5-piece Boomwhackers BWKG chromatic bass expansion pack kicks up the potential of your diatonic or chromatic Boomwhackers set a notch or two and includes five tuned percussion tubes. Bear in mind that the Boomwhackers included in this particular pack are tuned to the five sharps of the bass octave. Combined with the diatonic base set, these tubes cover the lower chromatic scale.

What Are Boomwhackers?

Boomwhackers are tuned percussion tubes. These hollow, lightweight, brightly coloured plastic tubes vary in size and each has its own pitch, which is indicated on the tube itself. The high-octave tubes vary in length from 30 to 62 centimetres, while the bass tube is slightly over a metre long. They're very comfortable to hold, and produce a great sound when you strike them against your hand, a table or the floor, for instance. Boomwhackers are sold in a variety of sets and virtually anyone can pick them up and play them—you hardly need any knowledge of rhythms or music.
