General
Modern music productions rely on digital systems for recording and the final mix, but digital does not sound the same as analogue. That's why it's important to ensure that your input signal is open and transparent.
The Gain is equipped with a Lundahl transformer, which gives the Gain station more dynamics, a better frequency response and a higher input signal. The dual-wound transformers are both isolated, magnetically separated, and enclosed inside a metal housing.
The Gain station 1 is a Class-A mono preamp that's suitable for instruments and microphones. The balanced XLR input has an impedance of 200 Ohms. This preamp operates on a voltage that's twice as big as a conventional preamp, which means the dynamic range is enormous.

Geweldige preamp! De combinatie van de 'gewone' en de 'tube' gain, maakt dat je met deze preamp echt je eigen klank kan gaan bepalen. Ik gebruik deze in combinatie met een Neumann TLP 103 en een Rode NT1-A als preamp voor stemopnames (VO) en daar is ie prima voor. Nette klank, voor alle mogelijke toepassingen, van multimedia over televisie naar radio. Prima ding!
