General
The Nord Lead 4R is a rack mountable virtual analogue synthesizer. All four patches of the multi-timbral synthesizer have their own output that can be routed and edited via an expansive filter and effect section. Because it has oscillators, you can choose Formant wavetables along with the classic analogue wavetables for a unique sound. Furthermore, with the True Voice Unison mode you can create impressive leads and pads by stacking up to four oscillators per voice.
Nord Lead 4R: filters
Part of the upgrades from the previous version include the FX section and new filter types. Along with the Low-Pass (12/24 dB), High-Pass and Band-Pass filters, you can also choose from two transistor and ladder filters. Furthermore, the values of multiple filters can be edited via a simple turn of a dial, thanks to the seven programmable variations.
Effects
In contrast with previous versions, the Nord Lead 4R has a much more expansive filter section with which you can make individual adjustments. For this, you have the choice of the following effects: bit-crusher, talk and distortion, reverb and delay.

Ik woud al zeer lang een Nord-Lead. Deze 4R klinkt naar mijn bescheiden mening zeer goed en de interface is natuurlijk zalig om mee te werken. Geen menu diving en pure hands-on.
Bij ieder knopje hoor je direct verschil in het geluid, de filters bijten goed enz... Maar klank is natuurlijk iets zeer persoonlijk dus eerst beluisteren en dan pas kopen.
Een aandacht punt: Denk er aan hem te opgraden naar minstens OS1.22. Toen ik het beestje kocht volgde de master clock de midi niet en was er delay op de ARP. Dit is allemaal opgelost met 1.22.
