Moog Muse Synthesizer
General
Whether it came in the form of a keyboard or a modular rack, Moog is most renowned for their monophonic synthesizers. But, how many polyphonic Moog synths could you name off the top of your head? You have the vintage Polymoog and the more recent One synths, but further than that, Moog seems to head the noble order of monophonic synthesis - until now, that is. With the dawn of the Muse, Moog has dropped a polyphonic legend in the making, and while this synth brings that legendary Moog sound, it comes at a slightly less intimidating Moog-price.
The Sound of the Moog Muse
This model features two analogue oscillators per voice, with an extra special oscillator that can be used as a modulator or as a third oscillator. Two envelopes, each with adjustable curves; two standard LFOs and a pitch-LFO; FM; ring-modulation; and, of course, a set of renowned Moog filters have all been supplied, and a stunning diffusion delay has also been loaded in to make things sound extra-spacious, but can be toggled off at will so you can get that pure analogue sound as preferred. And, while the sound harks right back to the Moog models of yore, this is definitely a modern synth, so the Muse can be integrated into your studio via MIDI or USB-MIDI with minimum fuss and the CV/gate means you can also mess around with Eurorack modules and other CV/gate gear.
The Look
The number of controls isn't just plentiful, but satisfying. Here, you're getting the full throwback Moog treatment, from the white, yellow and orange buttons to the Polymoog-style faders and chunky rotary knobs. Every essential function has been assigned its own control knob, while each section features a little triangular button that can be pushed to access extra features and options via the display. Add on the wooden side panels, and you're probably getting one of the best-looking synths of our generation - all with a quality of sound that firmly backs up the hype.

Na 55 jaar Moog eindelijk een redelijk betaalbare Poly. Mooi vette en organische sound en super makkelijk te bedienen. Een no brainer als het in je budget past!
