For any musicians, writers and performers who find the Genos 2 just a bit too pricey, there's the PSR-SX720 and PSR-SX920: two outstanding sonic machines with the same high-grade Yamaha Genos 2 DNA. The Yamaha PSR-SX920 is the more extensive of the two workstations, so while this model is more affordable than a Genos 2 flagship, the mass of functions, options, sounds and potential still just as impressive.
The Yamaha PSR-SX920
The sheer quality of this instrument lies in the standard of the sounds and rhythms that come on board - and there's enough of them to keep you busy for decades. The library amounts to an insane 1,500 sounds, including Yamaha's own CFX concert grand piano, and all of it is backed up by AWM stereo sampling that supports a wide 128 voice polyphony. Dig into the library and you'll find organs, strings, woodwind, brass, guitars, synths and a stack of unique articulations. And, as you'd expect, everything sounds outstanding.
Extra Features
This is a fully-fledged arranger and workstation, so up to sixteen tracks can be layered to literally build entire pieces of music from the ground up and all within a single unit. Your own styles can also be created from scratch and a built-in sequencer has been supplied for trying out ideas and discovering entirely new ones. Because this model has been designed for performers and entertainers as well as writers, not only a microphone but a guitar can be directly plugged in and, while the control panel has been filled with tactile control elements, the spacious full-colour touchscreen planted in the middle grants quick and intuitive access to every option and every function, completing a streamlined and ultimately powerful music-making and performing partner.

Een paar jaar geleden begon ik met muzieklessen en speelde ik op de E-serie van Yamaha. Dat was een fijne introductie tot het keyboard. Later maakte ik de overstap naar de SX700, waar ik altijd erg tevreden mee ben geweest.
Onlangs hoorde ik dat Yamaha een belangrijke stap had gezet met de introductie van de Genos 2 en de SX920. Dit maakte me nieuwsgierig, en uiteindelijk koos ik ervoor om de SX920 aan te schaffen.
Tot op de dag van vandaag heb ik daar geen moment spijt van gehad. Het is een uitstekend instrument, met een geweldige veelzijdigheid en prachtige klank.Het keyboard inspireert en motiveert me elke keer dat ik speel.
Een goede investering in een mooie hobby!
Ondanks dat ik net 65 ben geworden heb ik me voorgenomen zomer 2025 een Techno optreden te doen. Dit keyboard heeft me hiervoor een enorme push gegeven. Met name bij het vinden van inspirerende styles die ikzelf ga aanpassen. Dit keyboard is verslavend.

na een SX900 wat ook een geweldig keyboard was heb ik nu de SX920 aangeschaft ik moet zeggen dat ik het verschil wel hoort de geluiden en de styls zijn voller en krachtig afgelijd van de Genos 2 ik kan niet voor een ander beoordelen maar ik hoor het wel en natuurlijk s art 2 en zelfs 3 als je die toeweist aan de toeweisbare knoppen dus nog geen spijt van mijn aankoop.
