General
The high-quality DU-200B deluxe mahogany baritone ukulele has a subtle natural finish and a build almost as big as that of a small guitar. Since this is a baritone, it also has the same tuning as the four highest strings of a guitar making it the perfect transition instrument for guitarists. The top, back, sides and neck have all been made using mahogany and it's this, coupled with the lower tuning and larger body than that of a standard uke, that helps shape a warm, dark tone with a full resonance and plenty of volume. The Diamond Head DU-200P also comes with its very own gig bag included.
Diamond Head
More than a hundred years ago, the little stringed instrument that is the cavaquinho found its way to Hawaii by hitching a ride with Portuguese immigrants. The story goes that three settled Portuguese wood-workers started to develop their very own variation of the traditional instrument which grew up to become the number one folk instrument in the whole of Hawaii. In tribute to the rich history of the ukulele, Diamond Head took its name from a volcanic mountain on an island in Honolulu, Hawaii and have since produced ukuleles in all shapes, sizes and colours while always following the guidelines of the traditional build. As such, every instrument embodies the feel and sound of a genuine Hawaiian ukulele.

Ik hou erg van deze ukelele,van het warme geluid en hoe mooi hij is.En natuurlijk van de vriendelijke prijs! Ik kan deze aan iedereen van harte aanbevelen !
Verrassend goed instrument voor de prijs. De afwerking is helemaal prima. De "gigbag" is een "raincover" meer niet, bruikbaar maar biedt geen enkele bescherming tegen stoten of vallen.
Prachtig warm geluid, ziet er ook mooi uit. Vergeleken met andere van deze prijsklasse een uitblinker!
Hele mooie en fijne ukelele,mooie warme klank en de kast is ook mooi warm hout.Aanrader ,zeker nu deze zo is afgeprijsd.Ik heb er eel een dikkere gigbag bij gekocht omdat die erbij is voor vervoer veel te dun en kwetsbaar is,maar voor die prijs kun je er geen gigbag bij verwachten natuurlijk
Besteld en ook wel snel in huis, moest er even op wachten, maar wat een leuke ukulele voor deze prijs. Speelt als een gitaar het is dan ook een baritone. Mooi afgewerkt, goede intonatie, goede actie. Ik moet wel eerlijk bekennen dat ik de snaren meteen heb vervangen door een setje van Ddario. De tas die er bij zit is een vuilniszakje en heb je niet zoveel aan. Koop meteen een goede gigbag voor een baritone. Ik kan deze wel aanraden als je wilt beginnen.

Op het eerste gezicht een leuke bariton ukelele maar als je erop begint te spelen valt op dat de stem mechanieken wel erg gammel zijn en dat de intonatie niet helemaal klopt. Eerder kocht ik een concert uke van Diamond head maar die is ook retour gegaan wegens onstembaarheid. leuk als gitaartje voor hele kleine kinderen die er mee kunnen rossen maar als serieus instrument zou ik dit merk links laten liggen.
