All of these 24 frets are exceptionally durable, lend the strings a great feel, and actually help to tighten up the lows without adding messing with the trebles. At the same time and in combination with adjustable string spacing (18mm, +/- 1.5mm), the unyielding 5-piece maple-and-walnut neck ensures optimum playing comfort across the board and along the fretboard.

Set-in wings carved from okoume and ash aid the transference of the acoustic foundation sound of this fanned-fret bass, adding body and tightness to the tone shaped by active Custom Electronics and two Ibanez BTB 2 passive T1 pickups. So you can steer this 5-string bass in any stylistic direction, those humbuckers can be reined in or unleashed in countless ways using the 3-band EQ, control pots and the special 3-way mid-frequency switch.
