The AZ2204F is a sublime electric guitar from Ibanez' Prestige series and is made in Japan. It was designed in collaboration with companies like Gotoh and Seymour Duncan as well as guitarists from around the world. The alder body has an iconic, asymmetrical shape that gives it excellent balance while the contours ensure optimal playing comfort regardless of whether you're standing or sitting. The flamed maple top has is finished in stunning Transparent Aqua Blue.

AZ2204F: Neck, Fretboard and Machine Heads

The AZ Oval C S-Tech Wood Roasted Maple oiled neck has a fretboard with a radius of 12 inches and 22 stainless steel jumbo frets that offer a comfortable playing experience whether you're playing chords lower down or speedy solos higher up. The neck and fretboard have both undergone Ibanez' special S-Tech wood-roasted treatment which makes them more durable and stable as well as being more resistant to things like water and changes in temperature. The Magnum Lock machine heads were made by Gotoh and play a major part in this guitar's impeccable tuning stability. They even have height-adjustable posts (H.A.P.) so that each string can have optimal tension.

Bridge, Pickups and Sound

The T1802 synchronised tremolo bridge was developed in collaboration with Gotoh and allows you to easily add vibrato and divebomb effects to your playing. Ibanez worked together with Seymour Duncan to develop the medium-gain Hyperion pickups that give you a warm, full, Alnico-5 sound with a clear attack and without any loss of clarity even when using distortion. The AZ2204F has two single-coil pickups and one humbucker on board. It also has Ibanez' dyna-MIX 9 switching system that features an Alter switch giving you no fewer than 9 different sounds!
