Born from the brain of Periphery guitarist, Jake Bowen, the Ibanez Signature JBM9999 solid-body goes where no guitar has gone before. This high-precision machine has been built with love and care in Japan and comes pre-wrapped in its own hardshell case which, in turn, comes pre-filled with an all-essential multi-tool. Getting into the specs, Ibanez and Jake have taken a classic yet modernised, ST-shaped basswood body, outlined it in white binding and cloaked it in an Azure Metallic Matte paint-job, nicely framing an enticing set of DiMarzio Mirage pickups.

To back up Bowen's immense versatility, this guitar packs two humbuckers, one of which comes in a rail-style housing and can be coil-split in the fourth position of the five-way switch, or placed in parallel in the second position, opening up warm and transparent, bell-like cleans as well as meaty yet defined distortions. Playability is also fully assured by a bound ebony fretboard with a super-flat 16.5 inch radius; a massive set of twenty-seven jumbo frets; and the fast and smooth feel you can only get with the Prestige fret-edge treatment. Another nice detail is the custom triangle inlay at the twelfth fret and the Luminlay side dots to help keep you locked in, all while a Gibraltar Elite bridge and set of Gotoh MG-T locking machine heads keep the tuning and intonation firmly in check.
