Pigtronix' Mothership 2 is a velocity sensitive, pitch tracking, 3-voice analogue synthesizer effects pedal with oscillator hard sync and pitch modulation via portamento and cv/expression control. While all that may sound quite complicated, producing great synth sounds with the Mothership 2 is actually a relatively straight forward process.

Mothership 2

Pigtronix refers to the Mothership 2's control panel as a dashboard. On it you'll find five knobs, 2 switches and a footswitch. The top row controls the volume levels of the VCO (triangle), square wave, sub octave and the original guitar signal. Underneath that there are controls for the master volume, glide, fine tune and dynamics that help to determine the synthesizer's feel. With the single timbre/sweep control underneath that, you can make additional adjustments to the synth sounds.

Connectors

Just like a real synth, the Mothership 2 also has plenty of connectors. There are two outputs that can be used to send the sub-octave to a different amplifier than the normal signal, for instance. You can connect an optional expression pedal too allowing you to modulate the VCO in real time for a sync sweep effect that's simply out of this world!
